Kindergarten Assessment - Report Card Overview

Children are tested throughout the school year on skills until they are mastered. Some skills they will only need to master once, while other skills have several levels that need to be mastered. For example, as the school year continues children are expected to learn additional sight words. Your child may receive an 'Excellent' rating one quarter but not have as good as rating the next. Keep in mind that they should be learning new words in addition to the ones they already know so they might not do as well the next quarter if they are not mastering the new sight words.
